Dans le cadre du remplacement de son système de sauvegarde, la Faculté s’est tournée vers Lina, la solution de sauvegarde des postes fixes et portables d’Atempo. Le système de sauvegardes de la Faculté était arrivé à bout de souffle et le serveur était saturé. La Faculté devait également faire face à l’augmentation de données générées par ses différentes activités, principalement des données de recherche. Enfin, avec l’accroissement du télétravail, les sauvegardes devaient être réalisées, même lorsque les utilisateurs étaient à distance. Le service informatique de la Faculté des Sciences de l’Université de Nantes était donc à la recherche d’une solution pour la sauvegarde en continu de ses 150 postes de travail, performante, évolutive, compatible avec son parc informatique hétérogène, et capable de donner aux utilisateurs l’autonomie nécessaire pour restaurer leurs propres données. Reconnue dans le secteur de l’enseignement et de la recherche et référencée au catalogue des centrales d’achat telles que l’UGAP ou le Groupe Logiciel, la Faculté a fait l’acquisition de Lina en novembre 2020. *« Lina a entièrement répondu à nos attentes.
