Paris, Monday 20th January, 2020 - the Atempo-Wooxo Group has just been chosen to join the initial selection of the French Tech 120, a program designed to accompany fast-growing tech firms and start ups.
The program was unveiled last September by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, and shows the willingness of the government to provide support for the French technological ecosystem.
"The war against cybercrime has only just begun and France must be prepared to enter into combat" was a recent reminder from the Minister for Armed Forces, Florence Parly. Atempo-Wooxo excel in backup and archiving, two key sectors in the fight against cybercrime which is fundamental to business continuity. It is important to have solid European players fighting what has become the most important economic threat of our time.
Atempo-Wooxo's know-how and added value are founded on the protection and moving of digital data that we universally create through our daily activity and through connected objects.
The economic impact of losing this data or not having continual access is immense. Data has become far less passive in that we increasingly need to access, analyze, process and extract business value. Atempo understands this paradigm and over the last ten years has become a world leading firm for their ability to move very large volumes of data.
"Protecting private and public organization's digital assets and helping them transform these assets into competitive advantages or ensure the availability of research data: these are the missions set by Atempo-Wooxo as part of our contribution to digital sovereignty in Europe," said Luc d’Urso, Group CEO. The announcement of the selection in the French Tech 120 program come one year day for day after the creation of Nextino, the Groups Artificial Intelligence laboratory in Orleans, France. "It's additional encouragement for our R&D teams who are fully aware of the societal challenges that lie ahead, challenges that we are meeting head on".
Atempo-Wooxo stood out from 300 other high-growth start-ups thanks to their spirit of innovation in the crucial domain of data protection. "This award is an honor for us. One which bestows responsibility. Public authorities and businesses will be able to count on us to ensure their efficiency and competitivity." concludes Luc d’Urso.
